Short & Sweet: Another Queen In The Family!

Good afternoon Bloggy Friends!

Recently my first cousin Whitney was crowned Homecoming Queen in my home town of Lancaster, KY! By taking the crown she is carrying on quite a tradition in our family. My aunt Stacy took the crown back in 1978 and in 1981 her mother, Robin, won as well! It was such a to-do that they ran an article in the local paper, The Central Record! They reported that we are the first family in town to have three Homecoming Queens!

Diva runs in the family!

Gettin' Things Done!

Hey Bloggy Friends! So, since we have been living here in Philadelphia we haven't had too much time to sight see yet. Instead we are doing what we can to get important things done so that we can get settled in to start enjoying the city more. I have been around some though and I can tell you that I really love it so far. I can just feel something in the air that instantly makes me feel welcome. It has such a different feel than San Francisco had, one that is more familiar and comforting. I guess it's because I grew up nearer to this region of the country. There is also a strong feeling of acceptance. People here just seem to have an anything goes kind of attitude. They are warm, helpful and funny!

I'm so happy to be here and i can't wait to familiarize myself with the city after being here a little longer. I just know that the city and the area has so much to offer both of us! I think I have told some of you, but in January I am starting school again at Temple University - I am super excited about that!! Alan started his job and really loves it so far. His office mate is a cute lesbian woman who just had a baby with her partner!

Hey Bloggy Friends! Before I move on past Sugar Road Trip 2007 I just wanted to take a minute and thank you all for stopping by to watch my bloggy videos as we traveled along the way. You became such a big part of my trip and I really appreciate the part you played in the whole process. It was fun to have you along as we created our own little adventure and it was a true blessing to be able to share it with everyone. We had an amazing time and shared an experience together that we will never forget.

Sugar Road Trip - Day Fourteen!

Hey Bloggy Friends! Well, here it is - the final day of Sugar Road Trip 2007! We were on the road so long that I just started believing that we would just be driving for eternity. It definitely snuck up on us, but when the day arrived I was ready to get out of that car and settle into our new place for a nice long rest! On the last day we drove from Toledo, OH to Philadelphia. We didn't stop very much at all - and if today's video seems a little spacy - that's exactly how I was feeling!

Sugar Road Trip - Day Thirteen

Hey Bloggy Friends! Well, thirteen down, one to go! Today we drive from Dubuque to Chicago in a little segment I like to call Sugar Road Trip - Day Thirteen. At this point we were a little pressed for time, so I didn't get to stay in Chicago for as long as I would have liked. I did get to stop in for a fabulous dinner at my old workplace, Chicago Diner. It was so good to see some old friends that I used to work with, and meet a few of the cute new employees.

We Interrupt This Regularly Scheduled Blogcasting...

Hey Bloggy Friends! I have two more days of road trip footage and that will continue tomorrow.

Today I thought I would show you something else, for a little change. I know we are all tired of those "Leave Britney Alone" parodies, but I was excited to see that someone on YouTube made a collage of some of them and included a piece of my "Leave Whitney Alone" video! His name is NEVER3ST on YouTube and here is what he created. It's pretty funny!

Sugar Road Trip - Day Twelve

Hey Bloggy Friends. As promised, I am back today with a new video installment to my Road Trip series! After today there are only two left and they will return after my routine, weekend hiatus!

In today's bloggy video we are driving through the great state of Iowa! It definitely lacked a lot of the extreme land features that we became accustomed to seeing previously, but I have to say that even without all of that Iowa held it's own.

Sugar Road Trip - Day Eleven

Good afternoon, Bloggy Friends!

Here is a video of day eleven of our road trip. Today we drive across South Dakota, stopping at the many sites it has to offer along the way. I become more and more surprised, as we drive along, at the vast difference in terrain and weather conditions. Notice that we are wearing shorts and t-shirts in most of today's video, when just yesterday we were freezing our hind-ends off in the snow! It's funny the way this world works - and I love it!

Sugar Road Trip - Day Ten

Howdy Bloggy Friends! Join us today as we drive clear across Wyoming, stopping at a few places along the way to see what this least populated state has to offer! As you may imagine it consisted mainly of miles and miles of beautiful open land, rock mountains and a few quaint towns nestled here and there.

Sugar Road Trip - Day Eight

Good afternoon Bloggy Friends! I hope you are all having a great start to the new week and a happy Columbus Day. What perfect timing for us to be discovering new lands, just the way Columbus did in 1492 - when he sailed the ocean blue. We are also learning exciting things about the Native American peoples who really came and settled America before anyone else.

Sugar Road Trip - Day Seven

Happy Sunday Bloggy Friends! Well, we finally had to tear ourselves away from Seattle. I had such an awesome time there. It was a great point in our trip to stop and refresh ourselves for the long haul eastward. I'm looking forward to what adventures await us in the wild untamed mid-west!

Sugar Road Trip - Day Six

Hey Bloggy Friends! So, we had so much fun in Seattle that we decided to stay another full day! It's so great to see and spend time with my brother and friends I have there. I have visited the city several times before, but Alan wanted to see some of the major tourist spots.
