First Day in New York City!

Hey, Bloggy Friends!

So, we left Philadelphia yesterday morning on the new Boltbus (for only $8), we arrived in Manhattan in only an hour and a half. We are staying in SoHo at a cute little, boutique hotel called Clarion Solita. It's a great place. The room is very compact, but it serves our needs perfectly. The location is super as well. We spent the whole afternoon browsing around SoHo. We shopped (check out Uniqlo), stopped into an awesome art gallery called Deitch, and finished our afternoon with a delicious green tea smoothie at Pinkberry. I was so excited to see Pinkberry. I have heard all about it from certain celebrity gossip websites in LA, but didn't even know they existed on the East Coast. I'm a happy camper!

After a long day of walking around the streets of SoHo, we went back to our hotel for a little disco nap. When we were re-energized, we hit the streets again to find some dinner and meet up with friends. We ate at a fantastic restaurant called Westville East. This place specializes in market, fresh vegetables. Before you enter there is a huge board up of all the day's pickings. It was delicious. Later, we met some friends for drinks - and that lasted till about 4 in the morning! It was a long night, but lots of fun. We danced, drank responsibly, laughed and took fun snapshots.

I always have such an amazing time in NYC. I have been several times now, but it still seems like there is something new to explore every time I come. I really enjoy being situated in the heart of SoHo. It's been fun to get to know the area, and I look forward to seeing some more.

I hope you're all having a great day. Thanks for stopping by to keep me company on my trip!

Love, Josh

Hi Whit! Hi Alan!

Can you imagine actually living in NYC? Everyday would be a new adventure. But, you'd have get away occasionally so that you wouldn't lose your mind!

Do you know who has a new apt in SoHo? Kelly Ripa! Regis & Kelly hosted the very first High Heel a Thon today in Central Park! 500 women and 100 men!
I'm sure it would've been a treat to behold. Kelly ran in it herself.

Anyway, enough about Kelly. Yes, I know those days when you keep going and going and going until you just have to go back to your place and take a power nap! NYC can wear a girl out, especially in heels!

Have fun on the rest of your vacation. I guess Galileo is in doggy daycare....?

Yours,
Rick

What a great blog. I clicked through all the links - I love Pinkberry. Yeah, it does seem so San Francisco.

You have a gift for being happy. I envy that, and I wish you many more fun adventures this week!

Looks like a cute hotel... it's also so awesome that the bus had wi-fi.

I dont think it is possible to be in NYC without staying out until 4am. It just feels normal there.

Keep having fun... although I dont need to tell you that :)
