Congratulations!!! Wish I had kicked in with some suggestions, but wasn't sure. Mostly I lived in West Phila, just beyond U of P (40th Street +). Big difference between the Parktowne and Manayunk, hon (that's what my mom called everyone, "hon"). I briefly worked in Manayunk but never knew it too well. Might find some small, fun restarants and maybe community bakeries and such. The apt. seems BIG and nice! Home at last! Yay!

Love the place so far. Congrats on the find. I'm sure you guys will make it spectacular. Hopefully we'll be able to check it out in person one of these days. Good Luck movin' in!!!

OK, does the burgundy T-shirt Alan is wearing in the beginning of the movie say "Humboldt"? Have to know!

Gary and I watched this again tonight and we are so excited for you and your new home ... just in case that didn't come through earlier :)

Alan & Josh,

That place is HUGE! It looks very nice and full of character. I see you have steam heat like I do here at my place. Your LR is as big as my whole 1BR condo! Steam heat is nice, but it's a little tricky at times. You can be burning up, then freezing, depending upon the structure I guess.

So, Alan you're very close to GSK HQ. That's great for you, just a quick little drive over! Hope you're loving your new job and all your new coworkers.

Can wait to see the decor! Gimme, gimme, gimme more! It's Whitney Bitch!

Puss

Very nice! I am so excited for you guys! My sis in law is running the marathon there next week. Maybe I'll run it next fall and come visit.
