My First Post of 2010!

Hi Bloggy Friends,

I hope this post finds you very well. It's been so long since I last wrote that I'm not sure any of you'll even stop by to read my blog anymore. I'm really anxious to get back into the bloggy groove to share some exciting things that are going on. First, however, I should probably do a brief catching up session:

The end of the year was hugely busy for me. My hectic semester wrapped up successfully, I've been doing a ton of work for City Paper and I've had a couple of guests over the last month to keep me on my toes. We also went out of town for eleven days to visit family and friends in Kentucky and Tennessee. We both had a great time. The trip was divided into two segments - Louisville with my dad and Lancaster with my mom. Alan spent part of the time in Knoxville with his family, which is always nice for him as well. As always, the dogs went back with us and the cats were being tended daily by a friend from Monster Minders pet sitters. They love it when we take the dogs out of town.

Some of my favorite parts about this particular trip home was falling head over heels in love with my precious niece Kennedi, catching up with family and good friends, like Rick, Eddie, Jake, Nikki and Tiffany and getting an iPhone for Christmas from my dad. I hate to be all superficial like that, but it's great! We made it back to Philadelphia just in time for New Year's celebrations, which were kicked off with some of Alan's colleagues in the burbs.

I'm excited about 2010. If everything goes as expected, I will take home my Bachelor's Degree from Temple University and then head out into the career world, which at this moment could mean anything. I also hope to do some traveling. We didn't get a chance to get out of the city as much last year because of the house hunt, so I definitely have some catching up to do. I don't have any specific resolutions to work on this year, but that doesn't mean I won't constantly be working to overcome personal obstacles, push myself to new limits and begin to make the most out of the exciting new decade ahead. Is it not thrilling?

Well, by and large, I think this pretty much gets me up to speed. I have a video in the works that provides more of a visual representation of what I've been up to and I've posted photos HERE of my trip back home. Stay tuned for more updates. I plan to make blogging a regular part of my week again and I'd love it if you would share it with me. I've missed you.

Let's chat soon.

Love, Josh

P.S. We saw Avatar in 3D and it was amazing. Movies will never be the same. See it!

I need the exact date of your graduating ceremony, so that I can plan my travel up to Philly to celebrate with you!

It was good seeing you, Alan, and the babies over the holidays! I wish we could see each other more often!

Oh Josh I loved this blog and the photo slide show. I looked at every picture.

You are very blessed with your family. I'm sure you know that. It makes me smile when I think of all the fun you folks must have when you are together.

I'll bet you have not lost a single reader of your blog. You're like a shot of B vitamin in the arm. We all need you.
