Quickie: A Gem

Once, while living in Chicago, I went to audition for a band that was looking for a new singer. When I arrived I was told that the bass player was actually the brother of the late, great Minnie Riperton! I didn't get the gig, but what an honor it is to say that I'm two degrees from Minnie!
